Join the Spirit of BMD Parade!
Fillable PDF applications are now open for the 2026 Grand Miners Parade. This year’s theme is Rivers, Rails, Reels, and we’re inviting community groups, classic cars, floats, performers, businesses, families, and creative hometown entries to help turn parade day into one of the most memorable moments of the festival.
We are using a fillable PDF application this year. Download the official form, complete it, and submit it with the proper entry fee. Once your application is in, you are generally set unless the parade team reaches out with a question or concern.
Step 1: Download the Fillable Application
Open the official 2026 application, review the entry details, and fill it out before submitting.
Step 2: Review the Code of Conduct
Every participant should understand the family-friendly, safety, and parade-day conduct expectations before joining the lineup.
Step 3: Complete and Submit Your Entry
Complete the fillable PDF and submit your entry with the required fee using the instructions below.
Step 4: Get Ready for Parade Day
Think big, be creative, and build something that fits this year’s celebration of silent film charm, railroad history, and our beautiful rivers.
This year’s theme celebrates the 100th anniversary of Buster Keaton’s The General, symbolizing our beautiful rivers, the railroad, and the film industry in Cottage Grove.
Use your imagination with a theme that revolves around a really well-made silent film. Think expressive costumes, vintage movement, steam engines, cinematic storytelling, old-time spectacle, and creative parade entries that capture the look and spirit of early film.
Whether you are entering as an individual, a nonprofit, a larger organization, or a political entry, the parade application keeps the process simple and straightforward.
